Howie Mandel on Mysophobia and Hospitalization

By January 16, 2009

Follow me on:

Howie Mandel has long been public about his mysophobia, or fear of germs. Now he has gone on record discussing the impact of the disorder on his recent hospitalization. In a People Magazine article, Mandel explained that he refused to change into a hospital gown. Instead, he remained fully clothed, including boots, throughout his stay.

Take a look at "Mysophobia" for more information on this common phobia. I also invite you to share your experiences and thoughts.

My partner in a new business venture has ocd with shopping carts. I had a professional employment agency and now I am life coach. When I met Faith as a volunteer coach she mentioned 11 yrs ago how she was perinoid about shopping with her children in carts. She had designed a cart handle. We now are in business together and I am out of retirement and she is following a dream. HEALTHY HANDS.BIZ is not a designer company of shopping cart covers. We found children, parents and seniors all need protection from common cold virus or Flu as well as using it to make shopping more comfortable. I am thrilled to watch this dream become a reality and find myself also more comfortable with this eco friendly handle. Wipe and move on. I truly understand fear of germs. SLP
